Welcome to Bazaar!!
Bazaar is Terrain's annual art market for artists, artisans and craftspeople to sell their work and build relationships with art buyers and people who are passionate about supporting both local and locally made.
- Bazaar takes place June 21st and is held outdoors on Main Ave. in Downtown Spokane.
Bazaar attracts thousands of attendees and typically generate around $200,000 - @250,000 in art sales in a single day.
THIS IS A JURIED SHOW: A panel of local art and retail professionals jury this show and look for the following:
1. Quality of work
2. Diversity/variety of work (i.e. we don't want a whole bunch of booths filled with the same kind of thing.)
3. Quality of booth concept
Each category will be weighed by a point system 0-20 with 20 being the highest score possible. Those folks who end up with higher scores in all 3 categories, end up making it into the show, so please consider this as you're filling out your application.
Each vendor will be responsible for making their booth aesthetically pleasing and a space potential buyers want to step into. CLICK HERE for examples of engaging booths.
In addition, we have limited space to work with — about 130 booths for this event.
DEADLINE: All submissions are due MONDAY, March 31st at Midnight. NO EXCEPTIONS.
ADDITIONAL DEETS:
- $100 OR LESS. These events are meant to be accessible for most people. Because of this, 50% of a vendor’s items must retail for $100 or less. The remaining 50% of your items can be any price point you want.
Typically, Vendors who master this balance tend to do better during the event.
ELIGIBLE ITEMS: Please submit wall art, sculpture, pottery, glass, photography, leather goods, paper goods, handmade furniture, upcycled furniture, handmade and upcycled clothing, handmade and upcycled accessories and handmade consumable goods like soaps and candles.
That’s what we’re looking for, but we love being surprised. If you made it with your hands, you think it’s awesome, and you want to sell it, share it with us!
Please keep in mind, we do not accept vendors selling imported products, or non-profits representing crafters who will not be present at the show. All products that you are applying for must be regionally-made. We also don't accept those applying to represent a collection of overseas artisans.
BOOTH FEES:
If accepted, the cost to participate is as follows:
- *10' x 10' spaces are $200 each
- Subject to availability, additional booth space may be purchased (for example: if you want two booth spaces the fee would be $400, if you want three it's $600, and so on).
- Up to 4 artists can share a single booth. There is an additional fee of $50 per additional artist.
ACCEPTANCE LETTERS:
You will be notified through Submittable by FRIDAY, APRIL 25th if you have been accepted or not. If you do not hear from us by end of day on APRIL 25th, please contact us at team@terrainspokane.com.
